The education sector was already exploring the growth possibilities presented by workspace technology when the global pandemic hit – and the necessity of remotely-accessed classes, lectures and workshops accelerated the uptake of tech such as video conferencing hardware, collaboration solutions, and huge digital displays. This involuntary leap forward has changed decision-makers’ thinking about course delivery and about the physical and digital workspaces on campus, as well as students’ expectations of facilities and location-flexible learning options.
